Thank you, I am glad to be here.
You're welcome so much. So how did you find out about John Edward?
I actually saw him on the tele once (that's television, I should say). He was doing a reading on someone who had lost a child, and it was a very moving and accurate scene. He's not digging around like unreal psychics, but instead he's pointing out facts and truths. Then I found his book, and that really took me one step further into his world. I would love to see things through his eyes for a day, just to see what it's like to be him.
A lot of his readings are moving, especially with children. But I hang on for the fun ones. Like when he starts gagging because they're showing him someone eating a fish whole. Bleh.
As to seeing things through his eyes, I guess I'm pretty typical. I wouldn't want to see anything really upsetting and he gets that sometimes. I wouldn't mind seeing the profound or amusing images though, but you can't really have one without the other.
You are right. Sometimes there are moments where he can be very funny (I remember an episode where he was joking about the spirit of a child looking up the dress of a nun doll to see if she had underwear)! There are also moments where I wonder what he's going to say, because it seems like he might say something that would be disturbing, but he usually says something similar but not as graphic.
I never saw that episode! I think I missed at least the first year of CO, which is exactly why I want them to come out with them on DVD so badly. ARGH!
I've totally noticed him catching himself and making a "nicer" description of whatever he's getting too, but I've always wondered if he's ever gotten anything on anyone that could be incriminating. In fact, I've wondered this often enough that I've submitted it on the WE website. We'll see if it ever gets answered...
I wish they would put it on DVD as well. I really enjoy watching reruns of the show, just to catch up on things that I missed.
I'm completely sure that he finds incriminating people, or even people who might be potentially dangerous to him (maybe stalkers or skeptics intent on hurting him). That would be kind of hard to know that information. I think I would feel a little put off if I knew every person who didn't like me. Sometimes being unaware seems much easier.
It seems a little creepy that he would see something like that, but I can see it being really useful too. At least he would know who to steer clear of.
And on an amusing note, it also makes me wonder what high school was like for him. Could he tell if a girl had a crush on him or something? He said in one of his books that he told one of his teachers that she had a blue aura. Did the girl next to him have a pink one? Makes you wonder...
It does make you wonder. I would hate to be the girl who stood him up or did him wrong, because I'm sure that he would be able to know what really happened, and excuses wouldn't work!
I'll bet it would be weird to date him because he would always know what was in your aura!
Makes you feel for his wife, huh? I'll bet she can't get away with anything.
But then again maybe some things are just too trivial and the Boys probably filter out quite a bit. He's not exactly omniscient.
I'll tell you though, I wouldn't mind getting one of those "surprise attack" readings sometime. I think he's getting better at blocking those things when he goes out though...
I agree, she probably has a time with him!
I would like a surprise reasing as well. He used to do that a lot, but I see him doing it less and less these days.
I think he's getting to the point where he knows how to shut down the vibes when he's out and about.
I wonder if they still pop in on him in the shower though...I think that would really freak me out.
Wow I haven't seen the shower part yet! That would be a treat *blush*
I think that was mentioned in one of his books. It was either the first or second and I nearly died laughing when I read it. Those must be the female spirits. *looks innocent*
I have a theory that spirits do that because they no longer have the need for the sins of the flesh, so they don't really care anymore whether you're naked or not!
Sure. It's hard to care about things that deal with a physical body when you don't have one anymore. It seems much less relevant, I'm sure.
